Natal, RN, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/39630This research aims to identify the satisfaction of the deaf user of the libraries located in the central campus of UFRN and that composes SISBI. The theoretical framework deals with the university library, SISBI - Library System of UFRN, services provided by the university in the scope of accessibility, and on barriers encountered by the user deaf in the access to information. The research is descriptive and exploratory in character and presents the quantitative and qualitative approaches. The instrument of data collection was the questionnaire with open and closed questions. Data collection was carried out in sector II of the university where most of the deaf users who were the subjects of this research were concentrated. The data indicate that the deaf users in their totality are of the course Libras Letras / Língua Portuguesa. On the services and the informational needs, the data indicate that the users go to the library in large majority for researches and to make loans of materials, even with reservations are satisfied with the library and with service rendered.
