With the growing demand for constant high-speed connectivity, greater bandwidth, and reliable connections, it is necessary to improve the network infrastructure to deliver high-quality service and support an increasing number of connected users. This work presents an FTTH deployment project for the city of Macaíba, located in the metropolitan region of Natal, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. A Passive Optical Network (PON) will be used, specifically the 10-Gigabit-capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) technology, which is an enhancement of the Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), offering higher bandwidth capacity.
