Obtenção, caracterização e viabilidade de utilização de um compósito com matriz de resina poliester e resíduos originados da extração do óleo de dendê. 2015. 99f. Tese (Doutorado em Engenharia Mecânica) - Centro de Tecnologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2015.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/23013Interest in use of plant materials, whether waste or not, as cargo or reinforcement in polymer composites has grown mainly due to ecological appeal. Despite several mesocarp residue uses of palm oil press of origin have already been studied its use in polymer composites not even attract the interest of researchers. In the low southern coast of Bahia, extraction industries and palm oil processing not have use policies of this waste which may present potential source of income and profit. But the biggest problem in the application of these materials in polymer composites is the lack of interfacial adhesion between matrix and fiber plant mainly by the presence of residual oil covering its surface. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to present the processing feasibility and use as loading waste from the oil palm mesocarp pressing in composites using teraftálica polyester resin (dark) as matrix. It also assessed the effect of cleaning the surface of the fiber (residual) using the decontamination process by washing with water and immersion in boiling water for 1 hour. The manual manufacturing process was used because of its simplicity can be passed easily. was fabricated composite fiber is in a ratio of 5%, 10% and 20% As with untreated fiber in proportions of 5%, 10% and 20%. Mechanical characterization results show that composites formulated with treated waste with better mechanical performance compared to composites with untreated waste .The manual manufacturing process was used because of its simplicity and low cost and can easily passed. Mechanical characterization results show that composites formulated with treated waste with better mechanical performance compared to composites with untreated waste. These results could be confirmed by microscopic analysis, when there was trouble in the interface region in both composites and especially in composites added with untreated waste. The other physical, chemical and thermal properties analyzed, such as decreased residue is added, whether treated or untreated was observed when the composite. Even with the negative interference ta addition, the composite is feasible and the use of the residue can contribute to decreasing environmental impact cause by random or inappropriate disposal of the used target residue.
