As wind energy becomes established as one of the main sustainable alternatives in the global energy matrix, it becomes essential to understand and mitigate the electrical losses that occur throughout the transmission system, aiming for greater efficiency and lower economic impact. In this sense, the dissertation discusses the basic fundamentals of general concepts related to the conduction of electric energy and the factors that influence losses in conductors.
