The multiplicity of functions, added to socioeconomic factors, can predispose women to more problems in their health, which can impact their functionality. General Objective:: Evaluate the health conditions and functionality of women through the Model Disability survel- MDS. Objective Article 01: Compare self-reported health (SAR) with the functionality of women, evaluated through the MDS. Objective Article 2: To compare self-reported morbidities with the level of disability in women using the MDS. Methods: Cross-sectional population-based study, based on data from a survey carried out by REDE FUSÃO using the MDS instrument. Women over 18 years of age who agreed to answer the survey were included and those women who answered “I don't know” or “does not apply” were excluded, which would make it impossible to calculate the disability classification. The sample consisted of 385 women. The variables studied were: socioeconomic data, module 4000 corresponding to functionality and module 5000 which assesses health conditions. Descriptive analyzes were performed using median and quartiles, simple and relative frequencies. To analyze the normality of the data, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test was used. In the comparative inferential analysis, the Kruskall Wallis test was performed with Bonferroni correction, the Mann Whitney test for pairwise comparison, the Cohen effect and the Spearman test to perform correlations. Result: Article 01: The study participants were adults (38.7%), married (38.7%), brown (44.7%) and with high school education (17.9%). When asked to assess their health, most respondents (50.9%) reported having regular health. When comparing the SAR with the level of disability, it was observed that women who rated their health as poor or very poor had worse disability scores. Article 02: Most of the interviewees were young adults or adults (42.4%), married (38.7%), black or brown (57.7%), had completed high school (38.3%) and provided family income (53.2%). When asked about the presence or absence of morbidity, 88.3% reported having at least one morbidity. Of the self-reported morbidities, the most frequent were arterial hypertension (45.2%), vision loss (33.9%) and anxiety (31.85%). When we compare the presence of morbidity and mobility, structure and function aspects of the body, activity and participation, it was possible to perceive that the greater the number of morbidities, the worse the disability of the women and that factors such as age, years of marriage or stable union, as well as formal study time also interfered in the disability of the participants. Conclusion: When compared the SAR, number of morbidity with functionality in aspects mobility, structure and function of the body and activity and participation it was found that the worse the perception of women about their health or the greater the number of morbidities, the worse the disability. Given the above, it can be concluded that little is known about the functionality of women, but this work signals a breakthrough in the quest to fill this gap.
