This study focused on addressing the recurrent issue of dirty threads in the spinning sector. The research employed comprehensive methodologies, including a detailed analysis of the production process and the application of laboratory techniques, such as optical microscopy, to examine the structure of the threads. Additionally, the application of a detergent/emulsifier was one of the methods adopted, aiming to remove impurities from the hair. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) has played a significant role in analyzing the composition of wires, providing valuable data on their chemical properties. Furthermore, the implementation of the PDCA cycle was instrumental in identifying the root cause of the problem and executing effective action plans. This structured method facilitated a meticulous analysis, enabling the precise identification of process flaws and the proposal of corrective measures. The obtained results highlighted the efficacy of these combined methods in enhancing thread quality, significantly reducing impurities.
