In general, the objective is to propose the implementation of the Human Library project in Brazilian public libraries in order to make library users more empathetic and sensitive to the difficult situations experienced by the population. It is questioned whether the Human Library can be an active project in Brazilian public libraries. The study approach is qualitative, in which a basic, exploratory research - theoretical incursion is used as a methodology. As a result, the definition of criteria, steps and instruments necessary for the implementation of the Human Library project in Brazilian public libraries is presented.
