In this way, the importance of the phases of language and the role of music in the classroom will be presented, in the light of the writings of the main theoreticians of the area. According to the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education – RCNEI (BRAZIL, 1998), music is a medium of knowledge in which children and babies have free access to express themselves. The methodology used was the literature review, in which we sought to base our study, organizing a dialogue between theorists who discuss oral language and music.
