The main objective was to investigate the possibilities of using the recorder as a musical instrument accessible to deaf individuals. The specific objectives were: to carry out a teaching experience involving the recorder with a deaf student from the institution; to reflect on the process of musical inclusion of this student; and to analyze both the pedagogical journey and the outcomes achieved. The methodology adopted followed a qualitative approach, characterized as an experience report. The results indicated that, with appropriate pedagogical adaptations, the recorder can be accessible to deaf individuals, demonstrating significant progress in the student’s learning.
