The two-dimensional lens is based on elliptic holes distributed quasi-periodically according to the Penrose Tiling. The simulated lens demonstrates the ability to store the electromagnetic field at its center. To achieve this, two scenarios were compared: in the first, only the operating frequency was varied; in the second, the vertical and horizontal axes of the elliptic holes were adjusted in order to identify the geometry that provides the highest field concentration at the center of the lens.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/br/Fibra de quase cristal fotônicoconfinamento de campomosaico de Penroseperdas ópticasAnálise de uma fibra de quase cristal fotônico para aplicação como sensorbachelorThesis
