Estudo dos efeitos da incorporação do resíduo de vidro temperado como agregado graúdo no concreto de cimento portland. 2019. 20f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Civil) - Centro de Tecnologia, Departamento de Engenharia Civil, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/40466Allied to the growth of large urban centers and the advancement of society, is the increasing of the generation of waste from the most diverse activities. One of these wastes it is the tempered glass, which often ends up with an inadequate disposal or an inefficient recycling. Besides that, the glass it is a s a material that requires thousands of years to get into a state of decomposition in the environment. In addition, the approval of the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), in 2010, make the generator of residue the responsible for its destination, making sustainable and economically viable alternatives of its interest. Therefore, the objective of this present work was to evaluate the feasibility of the incorporation of the tempered glass residue into one of the main materials of the construction industry, the Portland cement concrete, aiming at a safe and ecologically adequate alternative for its destination. For this, the behavior of the concrete was observed by replacing the coarse aggregate by different concentrations of the glass residue. Therefore, it was necessary to characterize the residue in a manner analogous to the coarse aggregate, performing common tests on the concrete fillers to determine some properties. The reference mix ratio is the 1:2:3 with water/cement ratio of 0.6, because of its popularity ande ase of execution. Six mixture were produced in total, 5 of them with residue concentrations replacing the large aggregate, varying from 0% to 100% with 20% increments. The concrete produced was subjected to the tests of resistance to compression and slump test. The results showed that there was a drop in the values of the consistency measurements, although the glass showed a less porous material than the gravel, and a drop in resistance. These results make it impossible to use the material produced as structural concrete, however it is possible to use the technique for less noble applications, prioritizing the ecological gain.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/ResíduoVidro temperadoConcretoAgregadoSustentabilidadeTempered glassConcreteAggregateResidueEcologicalEstudo dos efeitos da incorporação do resíduo de vidro temperado como agregado graúdo no concreto de cimento portlandStudy of the incorporation of tempered glass waste as coarse aggregate in portland cement concretebachelorThesis
