Of the various ways to obtain energy, solar energy is one of the least impacting on the environment, in addition to being economically viable today. In order to identify the components of the Concentration Solar Thermal Energy (CSP) technology suitable for the characteristics of Solar Radiation in Brazil, the study was developed from a systematic literature review on technologies of the components of heliothermal solar energy and a case study of an international project for the production of electrical energy by solar thermal, based on cylinder-parabolic technology. In addition, a study was carried out on the production of electric energy by thermal solar, solar insolation and global solar radiation, as well as acquiring knowledge about the equipment used and the maintenance criteria of the electric energy production unit.
