In the civil construction market, there are products with different dimensions, formats, colors and properties that make it difficult for the consumer to choose. This article consists of the presentation of one of these materials: porcelain tiles. In it, the different properties of this element will be addressed, with regard to its application, as a way to eliminate bad practice in its laying, pathologies and anomalies. Also, some pillars will be discussed about the environments that will receive the coating, the materials used for the execution (such as the different types of adhesive mortar, grout and tools) and the workforce that works daily with this material.
