Such condition, on head and neck characterizes even more aggravating cases, requiring immediate interventionist and preventive measures. The present work describes about a case of myiasis, resulting from prolonged exposure of a condition caused by viscerocranial trauma in a 32-year-old patient, victim of a motorcycle accident, aggravated by inappropriate hygiene conditions and the non-treatment of the injury. The patient was referred to the operating room under general anesthesia, the management chosen was mechanical removal with the aid of ether, with subsequent administration of ivermectin, to remove remaining larvae, and surgery for reduction of fractures with internal mandible fixationAttribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/br/MiíaseCirurgiaMandíbulaMyiasisSurgeryMandibleTratamento de miíase em trauma facial: relato de casoTreatment of myiasis in facial trauma: case reportarticle
