The project took place at Escola Municipal Professora Noilde Pessoa Ramalho, in Natal/RN , with 11 children in the 3rd year of elementary school. With a qualitative approach, the research is characterized as action research. The following research instruments were used: records of classes through images, writings and filming, as well as interviews with students. students, mother of a student and the school coordinator. For justification, concepts such as: the CLASP model, improvisation, games, creative learning and collective instrument teaching were discussed, based mainly on the conception of Swanwick (2003a; 2003b; 2014), Beineke (2003; 2006; 2011; 2021) and Huizinga (1993). The results of the work present contributions to the discussion of teaching the sweet flute in basic education reflecting on the possibilities of unconventional writing, different ways of using the sweet flute, possibilities for games, games, improvisation and composition. In addition to emphasizing the mediating role of the teacher, the stimulation of a creative environment, the protagonism of students in activities and the integral look at this student's training.
