Orientadora: Cristiane Fernandes de Assis. 2025. 25 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Farmácia) - Departamento de Farmácia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64383Enzymes are mostly protein molecules that catalyze the body's various metabolic processes. In other words, without them, the body's normal functioning is compromised. Therefore, it was observed that these structures could be used for cosmetic purposes, to enhance their results in skin care, as well as to reduce sensitivity to chemical active ingredients used in these products. Therefore, this study sought to review the literature in search of studies on the applicability of enzymes in cosmetic products. The research was conducted in the Capes, PubMed, Scielo, and MDPI periodical databases. The articles found mention how to obtain these enzymes, their application in cosmetics with anti-aging action, exfoliating activity, cell renewal, in addition to improving the absorption of substances in the skin, and acting to reduce expression lines and wrinkles. Currently, some products containing enzymes are already available on the market, such as the ADCOS Pro® brand enzymatic facial mask and botulinum toxin: Botox®. However, further studies are still needed to optimize the use of these components. Nonetheless, this is a very favorable topic that can provide many benefits for skin care and the prevention of premature aging.pt-BRAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/EnzimasPeleCosméticosAnti-idadeEsfolianteLinhas de expressãoEnvelhecimento.Aplicabilidade de enzimas em cosméticos: uma revisão de literaturaApplicability of enzymes in cosmetics: a literature reviewbachelorThesisCIENCIAS DA SAUDE
