It is a research of a qualitative nature, whose objective is to know and analyze the physical and digital heritage of the AfroBrazilian Museum and the pedagogical actions developed by the institution in order to investigate the contributions offered by this institution for the formulation of pedagogical propositions in Visual Arts that can contribute to ethnic-racial relations in the school that can collaborate for ethnic-racial relations in educational practice. With the objective of expanding knowledge about the aesthetic heritage of African matrix, a series of visits were made to the AfroBrasil Museum in March and April of 2018, with the intention of knowing the collection and the educational and training actions carried out there. In the analyzed results, we find that the museum offers an accessible didactics, with support material for teachers through the digital collection and also through the participation in pedagogical actions, we also present new approaches for the contextualization of the themes "Ancestrality", "Identity" and " Female". The analysis of the expository aspects of the permanent collection focused on the contribution that the collection can provide to the improvement of the approach of the theme in the school.
