Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Ciências Atuariais) - Departamento de Demografia e Ciências Atuariais, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50482The current study analyzed the data available by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in its open data portal, available to the entire community, focusing on students of the Actuarial Sciences course, at the same institution, referring to the period of 2014 to 2019, with the objective of identifying and presenting characteristics and a profile of dropped out, active and graduated students, comparing them and showing similarities and differences between these different student statuses. With basic calculations to obtain absolute numbers of these students, focusing on the annual dropout of incoming students, in their first year of the course, and so on for each characteristic of the different status of students. After obtaining the tabulation and graphs referring to the students' profiles, the data analysis and comparison between three different statuses addressed in the research began. Results showed that the Actuarial Sciences course has a high dropout rate in all years of analysis, observing an annual average of dropouts of freshmen students, adding up to 35,6%, for the first year of the course, analyzing only those who entered in the year of observation. Finally, the aspects available for the present study, taking into account the mentioned statuses, it has to be that, normally, the majority of students are male, aged between 18 and 24 years old, white and brown, an average of 17,9% have States of origin other than where the Institution is located, who reside, during the period observed, in municipalities different from where the University is located, has an average of 40,1%, with a majority of freshmen according to the Unified Selection System (SISU), students with quotas correspond to an average of 39,9% and the types of quotas, highlighting types L1, L2, L5 and L6, which are explained further ahead.EvasãoStatus dos discentesAtivosFormadosEvasionStatus of studentsActiveGraduatedActuarial SciencesCiências AtuariaisbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA
