This work, called “Weaving Networks of Meaning”, analyzes the experiences of these women, investigating how they form networks of meaning that affect their quality of life and emotional health. The research emphasizes the importance of social and emotional interactions, which are fundamental to building a dignified life, even in institutionalized environments. Through interviews with the residents, stories of strength, abandonment and the search for purpose were told, highlighting how social relationships influence their well-being. In addition, the study analyzes the challenges faced by these women in forming emotional support networks and the impact of the shelter's activities on their sense of belonging. Based on the experiences reported, the work suggests ideas for improving care practices and policies at the shelter, with the aim of offering a better quality of life for the residents.
