Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Centro de Ciências Humanas, Letras e Artes, Departamento de Artes, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53658This experience report has as its theme the use of urban dances as a pedagogical tool in the teaching and learning of hip-hop culture and its dance aspects. The report aims to reflect and discuss the importance of these urban dances and hip-hop culture as collaborative tools in the process of student autonomy and social emancipation. As a foundation for this reflection and discussion, I rely on the art educator Ana Mae Barbosa (1991) and on the patron of Brazilian education Paulo Freire (1996), among other scholars who study the themes brought up in the report. I have as a research source the social investment project Abc Hip-Hop Kids in the social and cultural center of the residents of the Jardim Progresso allotment, located in the Nossa Senhora da Presentation neighborhood, north of the city of Natal in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Although many may judge the knowledge of hip-hop culture and its urban dances as inferior, because it comes from black and peripheral people, this report shows a hybrid form of teaching and meaningful learning, with a view to instructing, stimulating and enhancing skills. students' cognitive, motor and social skills, collaborating with their learning and citizenship training.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Cultura Hip-Hop.
