Are concentrated in this region the most part of the population, presenting relevant infrastructural, residential, and commercial constructions. Part of the Brazilian coast is sitting on a continental sedimentary formation named Barreiras Formation, this formation has a naturals outcrops in a sea cliffs form. In the word many studies have developed aim the obtention geotechnical parameters, stability studies and observation of mass movement in sea cliffs. A sea cliff stability depends directly on external and intrinsic parameters. The saturation region, existing degree of saturation and basal incision existence are some of the most relevant parameters for the destabilization of a sea cliff. However, although existing studies that consider the basal erosion and saturation region influence, these studies consider only the totally saturated and unsaturated conditions. In this regard the present paper is justified in the need to fill this information gap. Was developed with a Tabatinga/RN beach stratified sea cliff several stability analyses using the limit-equilibrium methods and stresses analysis method. Various conditions of saturation region, basal erosion and saturation degree of saturation are considered in this analysis. The conclusion of this paper is that in both methods the degree of saturation has a fundamental influence in the sea cliff destabilization, however, the two other parameters are also relevant in this process.
