A qualidade do sono interfere na resistência muscular do membro inferior de atletas de triatlo?. 2025. 28f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61638Introduction: Adequate sleep management appears to be an important factor for muscle recovery and good sports performance. However, its relationship with muscular endurance and triathletes is not yet well understood in the literature. Thus, there is a need to study and relate these variables, given that the information provided is not yet so clear. Objective: To compare the muscular endurance of plantar flexors, knee extensors and hip extensors among triathlon athletes with different sleep qualities. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study in which a comparison was made between 14 triathletes, 7 participants from the group with good sleep quality (41.57±6.45 years, 73.57±9.99 kg of mass, 1.76±0.10 m of height) and 7 participants from the group with poor sleep quality (39.28±5.64 years, 76.21±6.73 kg of mass, 1.74±0.03 m of height). Sleep quality was assessed by the Athlete Sleep Behavior Questionnaire (ASBQ). The outcome measures analyzed were: muscular endurance of ankle plantar flexors; which was assessed by the toe raise test; knee extensors; which was used the unilateral sit-to-stand test; and hip extensors; which was performed the single-leg dorsal bridge test. Statistical analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 19.0 Software (SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA). Student's t-test for independent variables was used to compare groups (GQB x GQR). Results: There was no difference between the good and poor sleep quality groups for muscular endurance of ankle plantar flexors (P=0.646), knee extensors (P=0.876) and hip extensors (P=0.631). Conclusion: Triathlon athletes with good or poor sleep quality presented similar muscular endurance for plantar flexors, knee extensors and hip extensors. The study presents preliminary results data.Satisfação com a experiência de sonoResistência físicaTriatletasExtremidades inferioresA qualidade do sono interfere na resistência muscular do membro inferior de atletas de triatlo?Does sleep quality impact lower limb muscle endurance in triathlon athletes?bachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
