Thus, looking to list situations where the family absence exists, why it happens this gap and to what extent students are affected in the teaching and learning process. The research interest arose during the academic hiking and based on the experiences provided by stages, that is, from that was prompted to carry out a study in order to understand the daily school and the relationship between school and family. Methodologically the work consisted of research with authors such as Pereira (2013), Shrike (2012), Freire (1975) and others argue about the importance of school and family in the educational context. It also used up the completion of questionnaires, documentary research and photographic record.
