However, in the context of the deaf community, the lack of effective communication between healthcare professionals and the community is the main obstacle to ensuring quality care. Evaluating this scenario, the present study aims to develop an informational booklet that addresses the specific communication needs of deaf pregnant women, providing guidance on prenatal care. This work is a methodological study, characterized by the development and evaluation of research tools and methods, aiming to produce instruments that uphold scientific rigor. Furthermore, the study was carried out in several development stages: the first stage involved submission to the ethics and research committee; the second stage consisted of a literature review; and the third stage involved adapting the language of the information gathered from the literature. Thus, the study culminated in the "Deaf Pregnant Women's Booklet" for use by healthcare professionals during prenatal care and to inform deaf pregnant women about essential aspects of pregnancy. Additionally, this tool can reduce informational barriers and promote inclusive and equitable health.Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/br/Pessoas com deficiência auditivaCuidado pré-natalGestantesEducação em saúdeConstrução de cartilha para acompanhamento pré-natal da gestante surdaDevelopment of a Handbook for Prenatal Care of Deaf Pregnant WomenbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
