To understand the topic, it was necessary to read texts about the influence of culture on musical creation/composition, musical genres, musical practices, and the informal learning of popular musicians. Regarding the research subject, an initial data collection was conducted online, followed by an interview with one of the band members to gain a more complete understanding of the group. The data collected in the field, with one of the members of Sample Hate, was divided into five categories: musical background; band history; musical creation; live performances; musical practice, sociomusical group, and challenges in maintaining the project.
