In Brazil, the Patrol Radio was created as an instrument of the government to control divergent groups and civil disturbs in the urban spaces. In Rio Grande do Norte, the Patrol Radio, created in 1965, will point itself out, during the period of Brazilian military dictatorship, not against politic crime, but in ordinary occurrence and controlling people considered disturbers of public order, as drunks and prostitutes, and giving support to the Natal population in the ordinary emergencies.
