Working with groups should function as an alternative to strengthening access to health services, making them more effective. Objective: To analyze the relationship between the degree of self-efficacy for musculoskeletal pain and aspects of functionality in users participating in groups in Primary Health Care. Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional observational study. The measurement of chronic pain self-efficacy was assessed using the Chronic Pain Self-Efficacy Scale (CPSS) and the level of functionality was assessed using the World Health Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS 2.0). Data analysis was carried out in SPSS version 20, the analysis took place considering a significance level of 5%. Results: 30 women were included in the present study. High levels of self-efficacy and low levels of disability were observed among the participants and a negative correlation was identified between the variables self-efficacy and functionality. Final Considerations: These findings show that greater senses of self-efficacy are related to lower levels of disability. These results can be used to adapt group proposals along with multifactorial strategies for managing chronic pain.
