His plays show how women were educated, the roles imposed on them by the society in the family, workplace, their behaviour, hobbies and feelings. It starts with summarizing of the author's biography, the historical moment that he lived and which plays were written. In order to obtain more validity in the analysis, it was made a comparison with D'Incao plays. Additionally, it is described the acting project realized in Acting I, taught by the professor Carrico where was put in place a laboratory practice this theoretical study. Lastly, I describe why it was chosen to study the women described by Martins Pena and how this wish has grown up. To understand all of this, it is going to be seen my study trajectory in this undergraduate course, the professional, personal, and spiritual experiences that has built what I am and what I am going to be.openAccessMulheresTeatro Brasileiro.Costume.Pena, Martins, 1815-1848Cultura Popular.Dona senhora: a mulher em três peças de Martins PenabachelorThesis
