Acesso em: 7 nov. 2023.e1981-8920https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/55601Objective: To map the scientific productions on ethnic-racial relations indexed in the Reference Databases of Articles of Journals in Information Science (BRAPCI) as a means of identifying the main characteristics that permeate these publications in order to portray the dynamics and evolution of scientific information on this theme. Methodology: It has an applied nature, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, as well as exploratory and descriptive objectives. It applies indicators and bibliometric laws in the publications analyzed and makes use of the VosViewer software to build coauthorship networks. Results: Between 1979 and 2022, 298 articles were written on the subject, with the highest publication peak in 2020. These articles were authored by 789 researchers, standing out among them the author Miriam de Albuquerque Aquino, as the most productive and the one with the largest network of co-authorship in her productions. Revista do Arquivo Nacional – ACERVO stands out as the responsible for 10% of authorship in the articles published. The analysis of the content of the abstracts shows that the productions, in their majority, address 05 main themes. Conclusions: The quantity of publications on the aforementioned topic within the area of Information Science is still very small and there is little representation of researchers who develop continuous studies on it.
