Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2017.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/40698The concern with the environment is becoming more and more, in the construction industry even more, taking into account the strong connection between the two areas. Therefore, the interest for research aimed at sustainability in civil construction is justified. Thus, the present study aims to analyze the effects of the incorporation of asphalt pavement residue in concrete production. Such waste is produced on a large scale through the necessity of excavating streets and paved avenues. From the excavations carried out in Natal / RN, the material was collected and crushed for incorporation in the concrete. Six traces of concrete were produced, replacing the large and small aggregates by asphalt residue in percentages from 0% to 100%, with a variation of 20%. The workability and the axial compressive strength were evaluated, being these tests realized in the laboratory of construction materials of the UFRN, based on the norms of the ABNT. It was verified that with the increase of the concentration of the asphalt residue there was decrease of the workability and the resistance of the concrete. However, this substitution becomes feasible in the production of concrete artifacts that do not require great resistance, since there will be an ecological benefit with the reuse of the asphalt material extracted from the streets.openAccessAttribution 3.0https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ConcretoPavimentaçãoResíduoSustentabilidadeConcreto produzido com resíduos de pavimento asfálticobachelorThesis
