The research, of a qualitative approach and descriptive-exploratory nature, used narrative interviews as a data collection tool, applied to entrepreneurs in the gastronomic sector in the cities of Caicó and Jardim do Seridó, who incorporate family traditions into their recipes and products. The data was analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results indicate that affective gastronomic memories are fundamental to the continuity of culinary traditions and contribute significantly to the formation of the rich gastronomy of the Seridó. Despite the challenges and transformations over time, the region's gastronomy preserves its authenticity, maintaining its essence with few changes.
