To curb violence against women, there are protection mechanisms provided for the Maria da Penha Act 11,340/2006. Among these, is the provision of the Emergency Protective Measure. However, there are social rumors that this protection instrument is not effective, that urgent protective measures are not sufficient to protect women victims of domestic violence. To this end, this monograph used the quantitative as well as qualitative method, to analyze compliance with urgent protective measures in the 2nd court of domestic and family violence against women in the district of Natal/RN during the first quarter of the year 2022.
