Natal, 2024. 58 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Licenciatura em Teatro) – Departamento de Artes, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59464This research addresses the relationship between theater, community and ethnic-racial issues, highlighting the experience of a black artist and teacher in dialogue with society. Throughout the work, the obstacles faced by peripheral young people are discussed, such as the lack of public politics of education and the impacts on their mental and physical health. Still from this perspective, we debate the systemic problems that exclude these young people from universities. Taking as a reference the Teatro Experimental do Negro (TEN) founded by Abdias do Nascimento and the discussions proposed by Grada Kilomba and other anti-racist authors and artists, in addition to paying attention to the reporting approach and how the media portrays events against the black community and peripheral, and finally we seek to reflect on the role of the black theater teacher in the periphery. Using a methodology based on action research, we found that black theater teachers play a fundamental role in the education and empowerment of marginalized communities, offering opportunities for students to see themselves represented in a positive and authentic way on stage, in the academy and in life.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/TeatroComunidadePolíticas PúblicasRacismoDocênciaTeatro e comunidade: relações étnico-raciais e racismo nos processos artístico-pedagógicos de um artista pretobachelorThesisCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::ARTES::TEATROCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTESCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::ARTESCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
