This resistance is acquired through the modification mechanisms that alter the genes of these microorganisms making them stronger. Among these resistant bacteria you can mention Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The search for alternative substances and mainly as a plant source for the production of new drugs is a possibility. The pirolenhosextract (EP), a product of a timber source, because it has compounds in its structure that are capable of inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thus emerging as an option for this purpose. However, its liquid form can cause problems, when marketed, due to difficulties in transporting products of this category. Maltodextrin for having the ability to change the texture of solutes is adequate to modify the physical state of the pyrolenous extract. Periods and temperatures were tested to adjust which best condition the extract corresponds to change from state to gel and solid. Standard AATCC strains of sthapylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used to determine the Minimum Inibitory Concentration and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration through the well microdilution method. The concentrations of pirolenhosextract in gel were 15, 5, 0.5 and 0.25% and solid pirolenhosextract 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 18, 16, 10 and 1 mg/mL, where they were used to determine the MIC in front of the bacteria in this study. For the indication of MBC, the treatment was manipulated, which responded as minimum inhibition and a higher concentration, where aliquots of each species were removed and arranged in petri dish. For the production of pirolenhosextract in gel, it was necessary 1200 g of EP, 120 g of maltodextrin and taken to the greenhouse at 60 °C for 20 h, for the solid state this combination was in an oven at 60 °C for 50h. The MIC of the pirolenhosextract in gel was 5% and 1% and the CBM of 5% and 5% for S. aureus and P. aeruginosa, respectively. For the pirolenhosextract in solid, S. aureus had MIC of 10 mg/mL and CBM of 26 mg/mL, while P. aeruginosa presented MIC of 10 mg/mL and CBM of 16 mg/mL. The results indicate that the pirolenhosextract has bactericidal action and its change in physical state does not alter its antimicrobial capacity.
