To achieve this, companies have embraced Lean Manufacturing, which aims at eliminating waste. Among the key techniques of this system is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), which aims for zero failures and zero breakdowns of machines, alongside zero defects in products, zero losses in processes, and zero accidents. The Specific Improvement (SI) Pillar aims to maximize Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) by eliminating losses. Therefore, the SI Pillar initiates an improvement group to implement a tool called Break Reduction Roadmap on a dyeing sector machine, the Pad Steam (PS) III. The objective is to reduce the quantity and time of breakdowns due to corrective actions in critical areas of the PS III.
