Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Humanidades) - Instituto Humanitas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59523The racial problem in Brazil stems from European colonization, based on the allegedly superiority of the colonizer. According to Silvio Almeida, systematic racism manifests itself in practices that result in racial inequality. This study explores the persistence of racism in Brazil, analyzing “O Genocídio do Negro Brasileiro” by Abdias Nascimento and “Necropolítica” by Achille Mbembe. Nascimento criticizes the myth of racial democracy, emphasizing the continuous marginalization of black people. Mbembe introduces the concept of necropolitics, examining the power to determine who lives and who dies within postcolonial contexts. This article highlights how works like these approach the repercussion of racial inequality, allowing a foundation to future investigation about racism and antiracism.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Racismo,Genocídio,NecropolíticaRacism, Genocide, NecropoliticsEntre o genocídio e a necropolítica: para pensar o racismo no BrasilBetween genocide and necropolitics: to think about racism in BrazilbachelorThesisCNPQ::OUTROS::ESTUDOS SOCIAIS
