Although it is a relevant topic for the population, culture and literature are sometimes neglected. The literary and cultural sector lacks the infrastructure and conditions to develop and mitigate the limitations on its functionality. The aim of this work is to build a literary cultural inventory of Currais Novos/RN, thinking about ways of appropriating it for tourism. The topic is relevant to society, since culture is one of the rights guaranteed by law. In addition, literature is a phenomenon present in Currais Novos, based on personalities, events and places. In the academic sphere, the study aims to contribute by providing pioneering material to date. The methodology used to prepare this work was based on the Cultural Inventory forms proposed by IPHAN and adapted into: literary personalities, events and places. Bibliographical research in the field of tourism, culture and literature was also used as a methodology. The main references for the work link tourism, literature and cultural heritage.
