The choice of subject was given at the time that there was a need to investigate and apply not so archaic and traditional teaching methods, so that the student could understand the content in a different way than has already been taught for years. Interest in the subject has also been awakened from the participation in a discipline called TEE - Theory of Teaching and Learning in the year 2015 where, on several occasions the issue was addressed. The work was elaborated from a literature search, ie a mapping of research regarding the Constructivist practice, defended in graduate courses at UFRN – Campus de Natal. Thus, it was made a cut referring to the year of defense delimiting these surveys, between the years 2001 to 2009. A second cut was made, regarding the analysis of a doctoral thesis and six dissertations. After these procedures, the readings and analysis of each of the works and created some categories have been made for a better understanding of each, as subjects and educational levels, content addressed - which were categorized into: trigonometry, geometrical concepts of area and perimeter, decimal numbering system, mathematical operation - addition, measurements and quantities, complex numbers and equations of the 2nd degree; problems and goals.
