Natal/RN in the 1990s. As a basis for qualitative research, for data collection, we used two questionnaires with semi- structured questions, which served as a guideline for conducting interviews with guitarists, music producers and businessmen who worked in Potiguar electronic forró in 1990 in the city of Natal/RN, added to the analysis of documents such as newspaper articles, blogs, videos, audios and albums of the bands available on digital platforms. For the theoretical support we used the following references: Green (2002); Trotta (2008, 2009, 2010); Maknamara (2012); Visconti (2010); Feitosa (2011); Queiroz (2004); Lobo (2013); Saints (2014); Maia and Nascimento (2017); Moraes and Galeazzi (2006); Essential Discs (2018); Costa (2012); Couto (2009), who contributed significantly to support the related research.
