The inappropriate disposal of waste generated in the construction and demolition is one of the factors that are discussed in conferences and meetings in various regions of Brazil and the world. In the face of this situation arise policies of construction and demolition waste management (RCD) aimed at recycling and reducing the generation of this waste. Due to the heterogeneity of this material it is necessary to characterize the recycled aggregates for the study of possible applications. The objective of this work is to identify possible applications for aggregates of RCD following the requirements of the standards. Tests were carried out on two samples (RCD1 and RCD2), both of them aggregates recycled by a plant installed in Rio Grande do Norte. The results showed that the samples do not apply as aggregates to structural or nonstructural concrete because they do not meet the requirement of abrasion wear, presenting a result of more than 50% of worn material, but these aggregates can be applied in paving works, against interior flooring of housing units, pipe fastening and other commonly used applications.
