Next to them are also the teachers, who par excellence carry out pedagogical activities. It is highlighted that the librarian exercises educational activities that are essentially different from those of the professor, emphasizing the importance of establishing a partnership between both, so that their attributions complement each other to build an efficient and seamless teaching-learning process. By comparing the functions and profiles of the librarian and the educator/teacher, we can identify similarities and differences. The teacher has the responsibility of planning and managing classrooms, developing teaching strategies, evaluating the performance of students, and adapting to their individual needs. On the other hand, the library has a paper most used for access to information, promotion of reading and guidance in school research. Its role is to complement the teacher within the school, providing resources, technical support and guidance in seeking information for the entire school community. To reconstitute and value the differences in our educational roles as a librarian and as a professor is possible to build a richer and more stimulating educational environment. Ao extrapolated to academic literature, this work also has as its general objective: to demonstrate the relationships that teachers establish with the school library of a municipal public school. Among two specific objectives are: identify the uses of the library by two teachers; check the view of the school library and the professional librarian from two teachers; reveal the knowledge of teachers about the existence of the law of universalization of school libraries. In this way, interviews were carried out with seven teachers of a municipal school of São Gonçalo do Amarante with a view to identifying their relationship with the library and the importance of the school library and the library in this environment. In this way, it was possible to verify the difficulty for the use of the library in view of the limitation of the use of the space and the collection. The absence of a professional librarian was also observed, contrary to Law No. 12.244/2010. The interviews will reveal a lack of knowledge, generally speaking, about the importance of the library and the librarian. It is highlighted that collaboration between both is essential to build an effective teaching-learning process, as the attributes of each complement each other, resulting in an enriching educational environment for students.
