The objective was to evaluate the use of these medications by pediatric patients at a referral hospital for low-risk maternal and child care. This is a cross-sectional observational study. It was found that the hospital's standard list of medications contained 21.94% of these medications and 92.9% of the prescriptions evaluated contained at least one of these drugs, which corresponds to 1.8 (~2) high-alert medications/prescription, 100% of which were administered intravenously. The most prevalent pharmacological subgroup of these drugs was electrolyte solutions (91.8%). 195 drug interactions were identified, with 2.05% involving these medications. Of these interactions, 75% were classified as level C and 25% as level D. The results provide guidance for structuring the risk management process for the use of these medications by pediatric patients in situations of this level of care risk.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/MedicamentoSegurança do pacientePediatriaHospitalMedicationPacient safetyPediatricsCaracterização do uso de medicamentos potencialmente perigosos por pacientes pediátricos do Hospital do SeridóbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FARMACIACNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::SAUDE COLETIVA
