The project will allow the application of the supersonic combustion technology, providing the vehicle an atmospheric flight at 20 km altitude and with a speed corresponding to Mach number 5.79. The scramjet is an aeronautical engine of the aspirated type without moving parts, which uses the shock waves generated during the hypersonic flight to compress and decelerate the atmospheric air under the adequate conditions to occur the supersonic combustion in the combustion chamber. In the development of the project, a brief study is required to establish the ideal flight conditions of the scramjet according to the flight characteristics of the hypersonic accelerator vehicle that will propel the scramjet technological demonstrator. After being chosen the flight conditions, the theoretical-analytical analysis will be performed to obtain the values of the aerothermodynamic properties (pressure, temperature, specific mass) and the velocity from the leading edge to the trailing edge of the vehicle. The analysis considered one-dimensional flow, with no viscous effects, considering air as calorically gas perfect and without burning of fuel.
