Sofrimento psíquico dos profissionais inscritos em Programas de Residências em saúde, durante o processo de formação: uma revisão integrativa. Orientador: Dr. Mauricio Roberto Campelo de Macedo. 2023. 115f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Gestão, Trabalho, Educação e Saúde) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58176Some studies examine how psychological distress manifests among healthcare professionals enrolled in health residency programs (medical, multi-professional, and others) and underscore its prevalence through indicators associated with the training context. Prevalence rates of anxiety disorders, depression, and suicide among physicians are higher than those in the general population. Proposals for changing healthcare professional training have been under discussion since the late 1980s. The Unified Health System (SUS), based on healthcare reform principles, constitutionally mandates the organization of training for professionals in the field within the expanded concept of health. This research aims to analyze and comprehend the psychological distress of professionals enrolled in health residencies during the training process, through an exploratory integrative literature review. To identify relevant studies, databases such as Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), System Online (MEDLINE), Virtual Health Library (BVS), and Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) were consulted. A synoptic table was crafted for the analysis and synthesis of results, forming a unique database to facilitate information management. Several charts and graphs were developed, crucial for presenting the results obtained in the analysis of texts, and addressing the guiding questions present in the general and specific objectives of this study. The research aims to support educational institutions, residency programs, and healthcare services in implementing necessary measures to improve the quality of life and reduce the psychological distress of these professionals in the training process.
