College students. Within this scenario, people with dietary restrictions such as reduction or suppression of nutrients related to chronic diseases, is an audience of all age groups that are constantly growing. thus providing customers with the opportunity to choose healthy diets can be a generator of competitive advantage for the enterprise. In this sense, we seek to verify the feasibility of offering restrictive diets as a business strategy in university canteens. The research is applied, descriptive, with a qualitative approach and using the literature review procedure. The consultation of the databases took place in the time frame of 2018-2022, using descriptors, in a combined way related to food business, restrictive diets and canteens and/or university cafeterias. The results showed that there is a willingness to offer restrictive diets by the businesses that operate around the university campuses, however, the offer of healthy foods, without restriction, for the free choice of the customer prevails. There was, however, a tendency to customize food via delivery or take-way.
