It is considered a chronic disease, and can be associated with many stressful and debilitating symptoms, mainly marked by dysmenorrhea and profound dyspareunia. In general, the presence of pain is responsible for loss of functionality, reduced quality of life and desabilities. The objective of this study was to analyze the functionality of women with endometriosis through the application of the T6CM in comparison with women who do not have endometriosis. Through a pilot study, 34 women from the endometriosis group and 47 from the comparator group were evaluated in a public maternity hospital in the city of Natal-RN, and in the Physiotherapy Department of UFRN, from July to October 2022. The volunteers were submitted to an initial assessment that included anamnesis, physical examination, pain assessment through the brief pain inventory and functional examination through the 6MWT. It was possible to observe that the volunteers in the endometriosis group were older, had more children, had a higher Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist Circumference (WC) than the women in the comparator group, however, they had the same age at menarche. For pain assessment, the EG had a higher level of pain in both scales. The result of our study shows that the CG had a similar distance to the EG, not suggesting significance (p > 0.05).
