These vessels are storage space for the most varied applications in industrial processes. They are equipment that demands specialized technical responsibility for design, manufacture, maintenance, and inspection, and their project must consider safety and reliability in their operations. The goal of this work consists of a comparative analysis of some parameters of a hypothetical pressure vessel made of steel and another vessel made of glass reinforced plastic composite (GRP) to have a differential weight and cost comparison under identical conditions imposed on the vessels.
