In this way, it allows women to be empowered and responsible, together with health professionals, for the construction of this document. Thus, the present study aimed to prepare an educational booklet as a guiding instrument for the Birth Plan during Prenatal Care. This is a methodological study that aimed to develop an instrument with the purpose of improving the methodology used focused on the knowledge addressed. The development of this study took place in the following stages: bibliographic survey, organization of content, structuring of the educational booklet, and final editing of the booklet, which was carried out between october 2023 and november 2024. The present study does not involve research with human beings, therefore, it was not submitted to the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) for evaluation. The booklet was titled: “Booklet: Prenatal Birth Plan”, which addressed the definition of the Birth Plan and the care procedures that may occur during the stages of labor. In addition to information pertinent to the care provided to the newborn, non-pharmacological methods for pain relief in pregnant women during labor, as well as obstetric violence and family planning through voluntary sterilization, based on current legislation. The final version of the booklet consisted of 26 pages, divided into pre-textual, textual and post-textual elements. Thus, it is concluded that the booklet plays a crucial role in the humanization of care and in promoting the protagonism of pregnant women. Through accessible language and additional information, the booklet will help women understand their rights and the importance of planning for childbirth.
