In recent times, research that addresses the improvement of this area has focused on its ethical, social and political perspective. In this way, phenomena such as racism are recorded for researchers in the area. Information science and race studies composed of critical studies of knowledge of knowledge studies rethink and reflect on the biases, conflicts and racisms remaining from the process of colonialism that passed it. Based on this, this research aimed to map the science about racism in the Scopus database within Librarianship and Information Science had specifically, within the Knowledge Organization. This is a documented and qualitative study, carried out through exploratory, descriptive and bibliographic research. Data collection was performed in the Scopus database and comparisons were made with production and citation indicators, as well as comparison of occurrences, authors of keywords. 158 records were retrieved, in more than 130 journals. The results indicate a large presence of records on racism in Librarianship and Information Science, and to a lesser extent in Knowledge Organization. The authors who published the most have between 3 and 5 publications on the subject. The gradual increase in publications took place between 2015 and 2021, with an average of 15 articles published per year. In the study as thematic categories addressed in three major categories were identified, driven by critical studies of information: 1) education and training of Librarianship; 2) taxonomic reparations in Knowledge Organization and Representation, and 3) racialized people and indigenous population. Finally, there is a need for future studies that can identify anti-racist alternatives and research that can bring together proposals for repairing Knowledge Organization Systems, as well as continuing to build the framework of a critical Librarianship and Information Science.RacismoTeorias CríticasBiblioteconomia e Ciência da InformaçãoOrganização do ConhecimentoRacismCritical theoryLibrarianship and Science InformationKnowledge OrganizationRacismo na Organização do Conhecimento: um olhar da produção científica na base de dados "Scopus"Racism in the Knowledge Organization: a look at scientific production in the “Scopus” databasebachelorThesis
