Through an ethnography of the 2024 edition, the criteria and challenges involved in this process are explored, revealing curation as a space for mediation between different epistemes and cosmologies, as well as political negotiation. The study also presents the historical relationship between cinema, anthropology and curatorial practices, discussing how these practices operate in the construction and negotiation of cultural and identity meanings. The analysis also considers curation as a field of narrative disputes, in which filmic choices reflect contemporary debates about representation and authorship.
